Way more TV in my life than usual.

I was really excited about watching the debate tonight and now I'm just kinda "eh" about it. Palin hardcore dodged questions. I laughed or shouted at the tv too many times (although, I was mostly watching it for it's entertainment value) and I dislike Palin even more than I did before but I'm also totally fucking "whatever" to Biden (although I LOVE his work with the Violence Against Women Act). I think they both support shitty foreign policies and some shitty civil rights ones (although she more than he). Why are we still talking about the same fucking issues as we were 4 and 8 years ago?

And that concludes my parentheses-infused almost-rant.

In other news, I forgot to mention this last week but the season premier of The Office = absolutely brilliant. Season 4 lost a lot of the social humor and awkwardness that was in the first three seasons and instead gave us a lot of slapstick humor and out of the office situations. The first episode of S5 returned to the social stigmas and uncomfortable character relationships that made the show so good in the first place. Tackling the weight loss programs in the work place issue completely resonated with me and I pretty much loved how they handled it. I thought Kelly's situation was a little bit glossed over but that's ok. Delving any more into that box would have easily taken up another hour. I think realistically, Dwight should've gotten fired for what he did to Phyllis but where would the show be without him? Angela & Andy's relationship is still WTF to me but it's more easily swallowed with Dwight back in the picture. He & Angela make sense; I don't get why Andy's all over that. The new HR rep is growing on me - I love how she pulled a "Michael" on Michael and he still managed to mess it up. And Jim & Pam, well, I don't really want to talk about them but I feel like something's lacking and that is bummertown.

My bean comes home tomorrow for the weekend. Yes to snuggles and sex.
Also my internet's been working for the past few days. It's nice but I waste a lot of time in front of the computer now, not being productive at all.

the office, politics, colin, sex
