I was coming back from the pyramids in Teotihuacan and got lost in Mexico city trying to find my way back to my hotel. I found a metro station and this was spray-painted on one of the poles outside of it. I thought it was really amazing and symbolic of Mexico. While I was there, one of the things I noticed was the amount of graffiti that was everywhere, which traditionally is a sign of poverty and yet often also an expression of art, and seeing that really solidified that for me.

glitchsystem. I love Audrey Kawasaki's art and owls (as I'm sure you know), so when I saw
these icons, I immediately fell in love with this one.

shrinkingalice. I have a somewhat morbid fascination with Lindsay Lohan. She's a total trainwreck but I mostly wish for the best for her. I blame
ohnotheydidnt for any/all of my trash-celebrity fascinations, and the community never fails to deliver the LiLo.

goldfishparty. My first icon for The Office. This is from the Christmas Party in Season 2, I think. Dwight is dressed as an elf, as the helper to Michael's Santa. And really, ok, Dwight's character is pretty ridiculous (although seemingly not so much in this season, but hopefully that'll change stat!) and this is just the epitome of Dwight, who is my hero, for life.

cloake. I fell in love with Chloe Sevigny after I saw her in
Boys Don't Cry and it's been a passionate affair ever since. I love her style, I loved her in Zodiac, Big Love, Party Monster, American Psycho, etc. She's my celebrity wife, for sure.

opportunistice. Another Dwight moment from The Office. When he was dating Angela, he went to the Dunder Mifflin headquarters to save her ass on something accounting-related (paychecks? I forget now). So he was late to work and gave the "I went to the dentist" excuse. When asked what the dentist's name was, he replied, "Crentist." :) Once again, my hero Dwight.
