Right...
So I was in the lunchroom right now heating up some awesome leftovers from last night, when a coworker (who I have never spoken to before and am not even sure I have ever seen) asks me if I would vote for Hillary Clinton if she ran for the '08 elections.
So I give my usual, "It's circumstantial..blah blah..but I'm completely supportive of her running," which is 100% true. Then he goes on to talk about how amazing it is that she helped bring down Nixon when she was fresh out of college, how she has experience being the 1st lady, and how it would be a 2-for-1 deal since Bill Clinton would be there helping her. Ok fine, whatever. The next thing out of his mouth:
"I mean, I would have never voted for a woman, but come on! She helped bring down Nixon!"
At that point, I said, "Oh, right," and walked away.
Obviously, there's huge blatant asshole sexist comments abound.
I also bristled slightly at the "bring down Nixon" brigade, regardless of not at all supporting his administration, but that's a different issue entirely.
In short, fuck. that. guy.
