Sorry for the delay. My home internet was down for a few days, so my online time was limited. Anywaaaaay, fab chapter as always! :-D As I really like Mycroft, it was nice to see him trying to follow Sherlock's wishes for once by booking an appointment with Hopkins rather than kidnapping him. That text exchange is sweet. I also think it's great that Sherlock has realized that Mycroft has been trying to fill the absent father role, even though Sherlock can't accept it. And I love that phone conversation in which Sherlock explains why he hates his house -- that it's mostly about being reminded of what he lost with his mother
( ... )
My goodness, I'm the one who should be apologizing! I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get to your comment.
I'm so happy you liked Mycroft, and the fact that he actually booked an appointment to meet with Hopkins. That says a lot about them both ;) It's also good to know that the visit to his childhood home revealed more about why Sherlock hates being there.
He's definitely trying to find a way to move forward after Victor's death. Thank you for pointing out the symbolism with his hand and the dreams. And Hopkins isn't going to replace Victor, of course, but he's still someone that Sherlock needs.
