Oh, thank you! I'm so happy that you liked that part. In all honesty, that was my favorite vignette to write.

(and unless I start fiddling and making severe changes, there's a lot more of his hair in the final part!)

I have enjoyed this story so much and this part, where Sherlock cares for Lestrade, is just lovely. And the inscription on the ring is perfect.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the ring - I'm quite fond of that part.

So I've yet again let the food supply run down until there is nothing in my fridge but a dessicated plum and a half cup of questionable tomato sauce but I get by until today when I'm out of catfood and toilet paper and tampons and on my way to grocery when you post and EVERYTHING STOPS ( ... )

Oh, goodness, I can't tell you how much your comments mean to me. Thank you for saying all of this. I am so pleased that the slow build of the relationship has been working for you, and that it feels real even though they don't say, "I love you." That means a lot.

I'm also so happy to hear that Lestrade is still working for you. It is hard building a character off of what little we're given in the show, so I'm pleased to hear that he still rings true. Although I didn't mean to make you cry! I'm so sorry. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment, though!

I adore how you've worked Lestrade's ring and Sherlock's "married to my work" into this 'verse. Masterful! Much, much love for this and your beautiful writing.

Oh, thank you, my friend! I'm very fond of the ring/"married to my work" vignette, so I'm so happy to hear that it worked for you! :)
