This is so very beautiful. I loved the bit about the flies in the field-- the anti-climax of galaxies colliding. Lovely.

I don't remember the last time a fic actually made me cry. I consider myself far too jaded to get that caught up, but you got me with this one. I felt for Lestrade. I could hear his voice and I truly felt his pain. This is a really powerful piece and yeah. I'm glad there's more, but I'm also scared to death of it. Wow. Well done, you.
