Awesome! I don't find this so cracky at all. Sure, the hating-bananas bit is nice & silly, but - just like with that ficlet about Spot - you sketch at the same time a very interesting and potentially very serious AU setting, that only makes me yearn to see it developed into a real story! ;o)

So, if I may ask, how do you feel about all these ideas? Which are the one-shots and which are you considering to work out? ^ ^

Oooo, that's a good question. Technically, they're all one-shots; just little ideas that come to me as I'm trying to work through writer's block. However, I do have two longer stories in the works - one's focused on Lal & Lore, so I suppose you could say this is the one-shot that will be expanded upon.

The other is turning into quite the monster, but I'm trying to work the one-shot about Spot (and Data's past) into it. We'll see if I'm successful. I've gotten sucked into the "Sherlock" fandom, so TNG has kind of fallen by the wayside. :-(
