Woah to the unexpected
Wow, so Isolde was sweet enough to nominate "Darkest" for the Gundam Wing Excellent Achievement Award. It's crazy, 'cause I can think of about a billion stories that are more deserving, but it's utterly cool to have been nominated.
I honestly don't expect to win; there're way too many good fics entered, and, though I love Darkest dearly, it's admittedly flawed. I wrote it entirely without a beta, and it was really the first thing I ever even attempted to write outside a tenth-grade creative writing class, so I really was figuring out how to write as I was going along (Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how to write). I can't go back and look at it without thinking about a million things I'd tweak or re-do.
Still, I got some fun feedback on it, especially on Duo's voice so I hope maybe I'll get some more from people who didn't read it when I posted on the MLs. Like I said, I'm still learning to write, so, while I'm far to vain to enjoy criticism(*grin*), I hope to get it for education's sake.
