(no subject)
So I heard C&G had a potlock today. I hope you guys had a lot of fun with it. From what I saw at Shiney's welcome home party, you guys have some pretty good cooks.
Jeff & I had our own Easter celebration with Cornish Hen and Zinfandel. ...I found a recipe for Indonesian Peanut Chicken (which is a very spicy dish) so tried that. My findings are that Cornish Hen is too small a bird for the recipe (there wasn't a lot of meat that we ate, but it tasted very scrumptious anyways. ...we forgot to eat the muffins for desert though. *shrugs*
We also went to see Hellboy prior to dinner. While it doesn't have that deep of a plot, it is good action. It does have a trio of very intelligent villians that are worth seeing. Their plan is quite Cthulu-esque. ...actually, the world of Hellboy gives a lot of Cthulu-type fun. There's some comedy that helps lighten the darkness of the world for the audience too. I recommend seeing it. (Can anyone explain how 'Abe' was connected to Abraham Lincoln's death? I didn't understand that part.)
From what I saw of the player comments from the Larp last night it went pretty decently (as in the players seemed to have fun at the game - which is what I'm there to do). Some of them brought some questions/concerns/compliants about the xp system which I'm not sure how to answer at this time, so left it as the old system - I'm asking that in a LJ forum gms_workshop. I am glad there are a couple of contestants for the PC Princedom - don't want to make it too easy for anyone. Hope that the contest for the title will be fun. I also had a whole lot of fun with the guy who chose "Amnesia" as his flaw. By the rules, he doesn't know what's on his character sheet completely (some of it, yes, but not all of it). hehe...
...and now I'm at work *sighs* if only the real world was as entertaining as weekends.
