Long time no real post. Sorry. Been a bit busy.
First bit of business: Sad face I did not get into the musical I tried out for. Were I a betting girl I'd put my money on the lynch pin being that I have class two nights a week until May. And the show goes up in July. Sigh. Not that I was overly excited about the show, but it would have been fun to do nonetheless.
Second Bit: I really need to start crushing on people who are actually available. No lie I spent half my Saturday Night expecting Mr. Sexy Ballroom Man to show up at this performance of this Salsa Band, and guess who never showed up. Granted if he had, then I would have just been torturing myself by watching him be adorable with his totally wonderful girlfriend all night. I must have done something REALLY bad in a past life to be this emotionally masochistic in this one. I still had fun, I was just disappointed. Course if I were blonde and 6 dress sizes smaller, this would be a non-issue. Not that I particularly want to be a living stick, or God forbid Lady Cassandra O'Brien Dot Delta Seventeen, but skinny bitches do seem to attract the male species. Point BEING, I just need to speed up the cloning time line and get myself my own copy of Mr. Sexy Ballroom Man. Problem solved.
Third Bit: Saw the musical Spring Awakening on Friday night. Still deciding if I actually like it as a whole or not. I enjoy several of the songs, but the jury's still out on the work as a whole. (I'm not a prude, but I found myself thinking through the "mature content" bits: "really? did we really have to go THERE to get the point across? Forgive me for feeling like a voyeur with 300 other accomplices.") I mean it's interesting, but definitely glad that the rest of my family was not there for that one.
Fourth Bit: Sunday, went and saw I Am Number Four with the Sisterling...I liked it. Course it doesn't hurt that I find Alex Pettyfer really, really, ridiculously good looking. Never mind the fact he's four years younger than me and dating someone else. He's sexy fine and British. Need I say more. Now I pretty much HAVE to go see Beastly next month for my of his sexy fineness, even though icky Vanessa Hudgens is in that one too. At least he's not dating her. *yuck*
Fifth Bit: Really Awesome Film Professor at the CC passed away. I'm sad, but I only ever had one class with him, so I'm distraught, but it's still sad. He had a wicked sense of humor and was utterly Eastern European and opinionated. It was love. And of course, being the completely horrible self-serving minion of Satan that I am, will be playing up my emotional compromisation should the need arise. Feel free to glare at me now. As previously stated: minion of Satan.
Sixth Bit: Have become ridiculously addicted to this silly game on Facebook called It Girl. Basically I get to go around, and shop for clothes with fake money for my avatar (which all come with a built in hotness factor). Then I get to create ensembles with a high Hotness total, go to parties and battle other avatars for more money to go shopping....so so SO very sad...and yet it passes the time at work so well. And it's nice to buy pretty clothes that fit "me" for free. AND EVERYTHING ALWAYS FITS AND ALWAYS LOOKD GOOD! NO MATTER WHAT!!!
