Surfacing From Self-Imposed Quarentine
Hey LJ,
Yeah I'm officially a nasty germy disease ridden victim of winter colds. Hooray. I HATE being sick now that I can't just stay home and lay about in bed all day watching movies and surfing the web. God I miss those days in college, when I'd wake up and be all "Oh I feel nasty today...fuck class I'm staying right here." Yes, I was one of those irresponsible students who skipped class...I kept a list of how many times I'd skipped each class cause you were allowed to miss however many times a week the class was before it affected your grade. And I made USE of those days. I think my best one was when I skipped class to go to a tapping of the Jimmy Kimmel Show where Hugh Jackman was a guest...lemme just say ladies and gents that you could bounce not just dimes for QUARTERS off that man's fine ass.
Seriously though, NOT a fan of a red, raw nose, sounding alternatively like an old man or that I swallowed a squeaky toy and the overall run-down bleck feeling of being infirm. I need to go get myself some more tea soon, even though I know it really doesn't DO anything medically speaking for making me feel better...I just like drinking it, cause it's hot and creates the illusion of improvement. At the very least it keeps my throat from getting all dry since I have to be a mouth breather until my nose stops running.
But here have a meme since I apparently can't string much of anything coherent together right now.

Body Type: Umm...i think I'm technically pear shaped...and definitely not skinny. But most days I'm ok with that.
Relationship Status: Party of One and enjoying the drama-free existence. I supposed I'm technically looking, but it's not an actively seeking kind of thing..
Kids: No. Haven't decided if I even want them. I like the idea of adoption though. No need to put more strain on the planet's resouces when there's plenty of kids out there that need love.
Pets: My beta Heffron...yeah I'll give a giant shout out to anyone who can tell me where I got that one from.
Religious Views: Massively lapsed Catholic, but really more of a deist/transtheist in terms of belief than what is traditionally called Catholic.
Political Views: Registered Democrat to be able to vote in primaries, but don't really agree with the central beliefs of either party in America. I'd probably be called a socialist by most Americans that actually understand politics. *Dirty Commie but the uneducated masses*
City/State/Country: New Mexico. The state that apparently our own GOVERNMENT forgets is part of the union from time to time. But we are. In 2012 it'll have been 100 years since we became a state!

God, I forget how many years ago, this little bitty art gallery on Old Santa Fe Trail was advertizing some new collection that was called "Impetus of a Dream" and had this really beautiful butterfly on teh poster. Well I'm pretty sure I was still in high school at the time and had NO idea what the world Impetus meant so I looked it up and found out it meant beginning. And I, being a bit of a poet at the time and was/still am a fan of asethetics, decided that was a really pretty phrase and appropriated it for myself. The rest as they say is history.

➀ Getting over my cold before I have to see Mr. Sexy Ballroom man again.
➁ Avoiding calling the oral surgeon to sort out getting my wisdom teeth out, even though I know it needs to happen.
➂ Completely silly, but languishing in the fact that I cannot find Jupiter's Daughter reasonably priced anywhere, which mean I cannot enjoy Howard Keel in an itty bitty armor skirt. *pouts*
