My name is Matthew, I'm a Buddhist living in England and I found this by searching Blogwise for "the meaning of life" and "confused". Many people are in the same boat - If you find all that creepy, I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be - it's just that ike millions of people on this tiny little planet I've spent a great deal of my time being confused and searching for the meaning of life. At the end of this part of my journey I discovered that the meaning is not separate from life itself. Life is the meaning of life. My life is inherently what it is, yours is yours - they don't have the same meaning. In effect the search for meaning is a function of the human brain which has evolved to help us "know where we stand with things" and help keep us safe. But just because our brain searches for meaning we are fooled into thinking there is one. If you stop looking and see where you are it all becomes clear. This however is much harder to achieve than it is to say.
The thing I found creepy is that LJ kept telling me the post hadn't gone .... and then it was there four times .... sorry about that.
