My manager is a asshole
So on monday I was apparently suppose to work from 10-3, I didn’t remember him asking me. I dont look at the calender at work because Ive had the same fucking schedule for the past three months and on monday morning when I didn’t show, he texted me. Once. ONCE. Didn’t call, nothing. Just one measly text message.
I called him once I noticed the message at 12, told him i didn’t remember that I was suppose to work that morning. I told him I had been planning to come in from 2-9pm like my usual schedule is, and I apologized for messing up. He told me to not bother coming in then cause he had someone else coming at that time. I apologized, again. And later that night, sent a text message to him apologize ONCE MORE for the mistake I made.
I got this today.
Mike: I know you have today off. Are u available to work tomorrow morning?
Me: No, Im sorry. 8(
Mike: I’m sorry to tell you this but you are so unreliable.
Me: Do you really think that was the professional thing to say over a text message? I try my best for your store and I apologized profusely for messing up on monday.
Mike: That’s as professional as I can give you seeing as you can’t ever work when the store needs you. Monday was not the first time more like the 3rd.
I haven’t responded yet. I don’t know what to do. Last semester I called out of work at the flower shop two thursday mornings in a row. I missed work on monday by accident, it was a mistake. When he asks me if I can cover shifts its always the day before or the day of, most of the time I can’t because I A) am in School B) Have another fucking job or C) am busy. I just dont know what to do at this point.
There are so many things that he has done to me that I just never told the owner Rick about. Should I contact him?
