Pumpkin Characters
On a MUCH happier note, Alex read a whole book to me by himself with very little help on my part (only with some of the bigger words). We also decorated a small pumpkin we bought like a character from this book as he has to take it in to school tomorrow as a project... note..we just got done with the huge Cheetah diorama and 'book report' less than two weeks ago ;) I will say though, a lot of my craft paints haven't seen this much use in a long time.. I am so inspired I think I may create a little 'sign' for Kayla for Christmas. She can hang it on on her door and one side will say something like 'Kayla's Garden'** and the other will say something like 'Keep Out' so she feels she has privacy.*
* Note: Both kids know that in the house they have next to no privacy and are aware that Mom and Dad have every right to, and do randomly search their rooms ;)
** We redecorated Kayla's room a year ago and painted murals over its entirety (including the ceiling) and she tons of trees, and a lake, and waterfall, etc.. it is really nice.. I am going to see about painting some faeries and flowers and stuff in when I have time.
