YAY! ITS FRIDAY
Not only is it TGIF! We also just received a bonus check from my firm because our numbers this year are so good...essentially 7% of my salary earned by August 31 so YAY! It is sort of depressing that half of it is gone to Taxes and 401K but still, the remaining NET amount helps us finish paying off all our bills, pays back the $ we borrowed from our parents during the 'bad time' a couple months back, pays for Loki to get neutered and declawed, and there will be a small amount left over that I can just set aside YAY! :) This is definitely one of those 'Praise God' moments :).
In a second shocker, my boss has asked me to join them at the BIG agency meeting between the Georgia DOT and agencies like US Fish and Wildlife, etc... I am going to be there to take notes, and listen, etc.. this is HUGE and a giant suprise because even though I know as much about the projects as the analysts, he has kept me out of that sort of thing in the past because I am 'Admin'... as if that makes me lesser *shrugs*. At any rate, myself and the other girls just were utterly suprised at this complete turnaround... it is a bittersweet thing though *grins* More responsibility always means more work ;)...but then again, more work also means more overtime ;).
I am still grumpy about being a mushroom... all of us in my division are, but the suprise bonus and then being included a bit more in the project has helped assuage my wrath to some extent and so now I am just looking forward to an awesome, relaxing, weekend :) Hope to see folks online, if not yall have a fantastic weekend too!
OH! I don't know how I could have forgotten this! Jeb and I didn't want to say anything till it was more of a certainty, but both of us are joining the Georgia State Defense Force!
