germany v italy tomorrow morning
france v portugal the morning after

third day back at school and im exhausted (might have something to do with the football though... and my out of wack sleeping habits. school is soo overrated. and terrible. on the plus side, i did all the holiday homework which knopf told us to do by today last night... all 16 pages of transcripts and answers. i work best under pressure.

today, transport was crap. crap crap crap. in a soo not funny crap way. i was aiming to catch the 32 today and got to flinders at about 3:28. ok fine. get down to the platform, there had been no trains since like three, if not before. so it was FULL. so they connex ppl said that the next train would be in 20 miniutes (approx the tim of the 51). and it did not come. waited a bit longer.
went upstairs so some people could get waffles. met up with everyone else. decided to go catach a tram from bourke st to clifton hill station, and catch a train from there (apparently all trains from clifton hill to flinders were cancelled because of signal problems or something or other.). so we waited at bourke. for ages. because 3 or so trams went passed without even stopping, because they were packed. and there was like a 10 minuite interval between trams. grr.
so after half an hour or so, we went to Melbourne Central, to see if trains were running. they werent. someone spoke to one of the connex officials and apparently, the hurstbridge/epping trains wouldnt start running until the evening (this was about 4:45 by the way), 6 or 7pm.
so we tried the trams again. this time, we went to the station up in elizabeth street, which we thought would not be so crowded (sooo much walking!! im so glad i didnt wear heels, even the small ones). we were sooo wrong. a couple of the 86 (the trams we needed to get) went passed, again with a long interval in between trams, we finally got on a preston tram (not the tram we were supposed to get on).
so our intention was to go to clifton hill or westgarth or something (we were hoping preston would take us somewhere there). then catch a tram. my dad then calls, but my phone runs out of batteries mid call. so, talking on kate's phone, my dad tells me to get off the tram, and go to carlton, where he parks his car (where my aunts and granparents live). so i get of at exhibition st, and decide to walk towards where my dad works, and maybe walk to the car with him and get some exercise.
i get there, partly frantic and really wanting to get home and do some homework. i call his office at the reception desk, no answer. tried his mobile phone, heaps of times, and still no answer. thinking that he had already left (we had to pick up my brother and he told me not to be late) i ran towards swanston to get a tram down to carlton. i RAN. because i was already 'late'. i stressed and sighed and ranted all the way to carlton.
get to carlton, late, and my dad's not there. after the 'dont be late' and all the stressing he's not there. i wait for 15 minuites (and he's waaay late by then), i stress and worry (im paranoid). then at 6 (when im approaching panic mode) he comes. he had an urgetn business call. *shrugs*

so that was my transport adventure for today.

in other news, i cant cook microwave food. i don't know how i stuffed up but i did. i was making maceroni and cheese from those continental packets, and i followed all the instructions, i even heated it less than what it told me to (and stopped it earlier to see how everything was going). the food had somehow gotten all over the microwave. literally. i had to take the microwave apart to clean it all. and it stank. next time i'll get my mum to do it for me (i was home alone).

and if anyone wants to go somewhere but dont know where a good place to be is, go to IKEA. IKEA is one of the best places in the world. i bought this neat bowl-type thing. named harry (after harry kewell and harry potter). he's one of my babies.

anyway, best be off to do homework.
