Impulse buy - STEVEN NAIYO & EBATES ADDICTION!!!
Yesterday, stevemadden.com was ebates daily double which means they double the percentage of purchase that they give you back.
Normally it's 10% for stevemadden.com but since it was doubled yesterday, that made it 20%.
Unfortunately, I didn't find this out until late last night (I didn't even know they had double days!) when the offer was almost over and I was being hella indecisive about whether or not I was going to buy something. I wanted to order this one pair but they were on pre-order until mid May and they don't charge your card until it's in stock so I was afraid that it wouldn't apply for ebates. lol.
Well, at the last minute (more like second), I decided to get something but it was already midnight - my tracking ticket says 12:00am! lol. So I don't think it qualified for the 20% anymore and by the time I was done checking out, it was obviously past Midnight.
I started having buyer's remorse right after I bought them since I knew I was only going to get 10% back vs. 20%. haha. I know, lame! But that was my main motivation of even buying something - 20% is a lot!
I tried to cancel my order but the website wasn't working, and it was past business hours so I couldn't call the 800# or live chat. I emailed before I went to sleep but when I woke up, they said that they couldn't cancel my order because it was being processed.
I went on live chat to see what could be done but they said they couldn't cancel it either because it had already been shipped.
So now if I want to return them, I'll have to pay for the shipping back/restocking fee or whatever so it's not worth it to return them.
I might as well just keep them because there's no way I'm paying for them to be shipped back.
Ugh, I write too much. ;X ... Anyway, hopefully I'll change my mind when I see them in person, what do you girls think?
