*waves* Apologies to those of you who read both journals, but those of you following for my Douglas Adams fic may be interested in a discussion I'm trying to start here on narrative voice in book-based fanfiction, and how we deal with conflicts between an author's style and fanfic conventions.

I mainly dwell on my experiences writing Douglas Adams fanfic, and am really interested in readers' perspectives on any sort of book-based fanfic - what bugs you, and what doesn't.
