one of the beauties of traveling is that you can see different people and a different way of living....you don't only get to meet local people but other travellers.....this is a very hard thing for me....because sometimes you meet great people for one night and never see them again....sometimes you meet up in another city again.....or sometimes you travel together.....well I have been travelling with 2 germans and a french guy.....I have been travelling with them since Cambodia.....the german is Tinsch....he is a great guy....he likes kung fu and buckets...and girls....this guy willl be hard to say goodbye to.....but I think I will see him again.....I hope I will...it would be ashame to never see him again.....
I am in Nha trang....I love it here on the south china sea....it is amazing....yesterday we rented motor scooters and rode to a beach called doc lec....it was so amazing....riding into the mountains...the wind in your face as you are crusing on Highway 1.....the beach was like heaven perfect in everyway....the waters were so blue...the sand was so white....I could not believe it....then we walked to were the locals fish and bought 1 kilo of shrimp, 1 kilo of crabs, and 2 kilos of clams, tinsch and I ate like kings.....the vietnamese like to treat you well...the girls opened all the shells for us and cracked the crab it was amazing....then we headed to the salt fields....huge piles of salt to see the workers work the land......after that we wanted to ride up to a mountain top to see a shrine to quan yin...the goddess of mercy......we wanted to be up on the hill by sunrise...so we cruised through the mountains and along the coast....through what looks like postcards until the people move you realise...this is it....this is the real thing...Jeff you are in Viet nam....we went through a little fishing village...and I saw this temple and I stopped....me and tinsch....it looked like no one was there so we went to the other entrance to try there....as we walked through the village little kids came to say hello and soon the most of the village was out side staring at us....touching us...the kids asking for bon bons....it took us a whlie to wave through the masses to get into the temple....the monks opened the temple and turned on all the lights.....they ha beautiful lights around the buddha....I made an offering for safe travels to all travellers.....they showed us around and then we thanked them and we headed off with 20 kids chasing our scoooter up the road....it was the most amazing experiance at that temple....they never see foreigners in that araea....you are weird to them.....then we had to race the sun to the mountain to see the goddess of mercy.....we drove fast.....we made it just before....it was so nice....there was a vietnamese couple up there making an offering and a pregnant vietnamese girl probably making an offering for a healthy child birth....it was so amzing...I love Viet namw....I love the people I have met....singing kareoke...dancing through the night having the time of or life....I will miss these guys they are the only thing that has kept me not homesick....I miss all my wonderful friends....I want to see you guys again....I can't wait to be back in spokane....I miss music....and my parents...and my girls....hahahaha i miss it all.....I want to go to the satelite.....and see the clap.....and sharis.....and the warsaw....minus the coke....I want to have bonfires at peaceful valley...I miss my boring life in spokane.....I am tired of packing my bags evry 3-5 days....and having to say goodbye.....but I don't take this for granted I am very lucky to have this and I am grateful but I will be happy to be home so I will just be patient and enjoy my time because I know I will be wanting to be back here as soon as I get home....
