because.
1. i want to be fluent in sign language, french and spanish and i want to be able to converse at least a little in italian.
2. i want to spend at least a month in italy and at least three in southern france but i don't think there will ever really be a time when this is possible.
3. i dream when i am awake. not just daydream but run-away-with-you-completely-dream. the only difference is that i am (awake, obviously, and also) semi-aware of my surroundings and i can snap out of it if i try.
4. sometimes i confuse a-certain-someone-being-busy with me-getting-on-his-nerves and i think that gets on his nerves.
5. when i write stories they are (almost always) in confessional-first-person and they are either naive&lively&happy or morbid&depressing. never in between.
6. i have been reading about children with special needs for class lately and now i want to read every book ever written on children with autism.
7. sometimes i get really nervous about making decisions that will affect me in the long run years before i need to make them.
8. when i sleep in, i never get out of bed at 10. i either get out of bed before 9:45 or wait until after 10:15. it's a rule.
9. one of my best friends has been home four times already this semester and i have not seen her once and she blames me for that.
10. i have named my car, my computer, my future cat, etc, but my teddy bear is simply named Bear.
11. in seventh grade my best friend from school told me my toes were ugly and so i hated them until i saw a statue of the virgin mary where she had long toes like mine. and then i thought that jennie was just jealous.
12. i really like photography.
13. sometimes i feel like, although i am decent at a fair number of things, i will never truly excel at any one thing.
14. i am awful at keeping in touch.
15. i actively avoid real goodbyes.
16. there is this visiting professor from kenya that comes to the library sometimes and we chat and he is very sweet and friendly but i am the only one he talks to. he asked for my e-mail address and then invited me to have coffee with him. i have not answered him back because i can't figure out if i am making it weird or if it really is weird.
17. the inside of my elbow is still bruised from when they drew blood a week ago.
18. i like to buy pretzels and plain m&ms and eat them together (1 pretzel to 3 m&ms).
19. lately i have been missing people/places/things from my past in a grievious way.
20. i like bisquick pancakes more than any other pancakes i have ever had.
