my mom decided to buy a pool today. one of those inflatable-blue-ones. sixteen feet in diameter! thirty-nine inches deep! we had to get a wal-mart employee named matt to help us lift the box and situate it into the cart. he was wearing this fabulous old school nintendo shirt and i told him that i liked it. he thanked me and walked away and i leaned over to my mom and i said "and i like your eyes" and she smiled and said "and i'd like your phone number" and we laughed because really, she knows me. and i was sincerly proud to be gallavanting through wal-mart pushing a cart full of tall cardboard with this crazy lady loudly and humourously directing my path. this crazy lady who buys pools on a whim and helps me come up with ways to pick up boys and asks five million questions and talks to anyone in the world. and i just think my mom is so cool. i am almost twenty and my mom is still my hero and the coolest cat i know.
