This was a tough one for me. I'm torn between two emperors as we speak and even as I re-read your answers, it's not getting any easier to make a final decision. I apologize in advance for the absurd length of this comment...

On the one hand, you remind me very much of Tiberius, particularly for your answers pertaining to people and how they're generally untrustworthy and troublesome. That, to me, is classic Tiberius. You're also more reserved and I'm picking up on a witty air to your whole application. In Tacitus' Annales, even though he didn't talk as much as other people, Tiberius often had rather bitingly sarcastic and memorable lines when he did speak. You strike me as someone who can call bullshit from miles away and that also reminds me of him.

However, I also am getting some serious Commodus vibes from you. His are a little more difficult to put into words at the moment, but he's definitely there. You say you're cold, manipulative, changeable and clever, a lover of the arts and unconventional. And really, Tradition is an important tool you can wield, but know you're using it - it shouldn't use you. Individuality is very important to me as well as idle senators have the time and inclination to plot just really sounds like him to me, considering the circumstances of his reign. You seem more calm, less zany than some of the other more "unconventional" emperors and that's the sense I've always had of Commodus. That he was one smooth customer, even if he often pushed boundaries and senatorial buttons.

Damn. Well, since I can't double-vote (as tempting as it is), I think in the end, I'm gonna go with Commodus. Really, One surrealist dreamer was the clincher for me.
