Tonight I tried on my vampire fangs for my Halloween costume (I'm going to be a dirt poor vampire), and I realized I had accidentally bought children’s vampire fangs. Mild panic struck me. Where can one go at 9:30 PM to buy vampire fangs? The simple answer is Wal-Mart. I dislike Wal-Mart, and I have not been to one in almost 6 months, but this was a necessary evil.
So I started driving and I realized that I was going the wrong direction for the only Wal-Mart I had ever been to in this area. I continued driving for about 10 minutes and I ended up "sensing" the low prices. Seriously. I found a Wal-Mart I had never seen, nor heard of before. Consumerism and the need to buy useless items must be coded in my DNA.
I ended up finding ADULT vampire fangs and now my costume is complete. I am leaving tomorrow morning at 8 or 9 AM for West Virginia to go to a Halloween party a friend from graduate school is hosting. I hope that this is a wise decision, considering the 3 days of rain we have had already (with no end in sight).
But I digress. In honor of my trip to WV, I bought a cheap CD of truck driving songs to accompany me on the trip. Pointless I know, but fun nevertheless. I am really looking forward to hearing "Give Me 40 Acres to Turn This Rig Around." (Plus I could not find a copy of The Dueling Banjos anywhere.
