Eternally sorry I wasn't able to make it to your show. Jake's little brother is no longer joining the coast guard, which was our entire reason for driving to Birmingham. We really couldn't afford to do it anyway, but helping him do this was mega-important. I guess it just wasn't important enough to him. Hope all went well.
Not sure where I am going to big people college. Tuscaloosa is cheap, close, and has decent programs for both me and Jake. I'm just not too big about going there. I was very glad you mentioned Southern Miss, because I had been looking very closely there and are now looking even more closely. In fact, we would be probably near sealing the deal on Hattiesburg if we could find a place to live. We NEED to rent a HOUSE, preferably with a fenced yard. I've looked all over the freaking internet and have found a total of three houses for rent in their local classifieds. Apartment rent is scary cheap, like $300 for a two bedroom. Is that town still reeling from Katrina? Any advice on how to locate a living space there? I know Meridian is a couple hours a way, but maybe you could shed some light. Do colleges have any sort of program to help non-traditional students find housing?
