Another year begins, and already I am extremely bored with this place. I seem to have broken my old record of three days until giving in and counting the days until Christmas holidays.
My fellow Slytherins have had nothing positive to contribute to any conversations so far. The quality of this House has gone down since Gryffindor beat them in the Quidditch Cup final a few years ago. It's kind of pathetic, really--how will Quidditch help anybody after graduation? I'm always being pestered to try out for vacant spots on the team, and it gets pretty tiresome saying "no" all the time.
It seems this year's journal will go mostly blank if this tedious non-activity continues.
