Seems like spring is just a bit early and more cohesive than “normal”, course I haven’t written down other years, so I don’t have anything to compare it to.
So, here I go documenting this year’s spring. Of course, the crocuses were first to boom, accompanied by the greens of the bulb and rhizome plants, the crocus finished blooming a couple weeks ago. While we were gone last week some of the flowering cherries had their glory week, there are still a few areas of town where the cherries are amazing but they seem like the blooms are peaking and the leaves are mostly on. There are daffodils and heather blossoms everywhere, and the winterberry groundcover shrubs seem to have a heavy bloom going. The ?alder? trees around the river have their light green leaf buds, as does the huge vine (whatever it is) and the lilac bush in the yard. The magnolia and the camellia are also in full bloom.
