GHOSTFACERS CHRISTMAS! HEEEEEEE. ED&HARRY in weird giant stockings!!!!! And then even Corbett had a stocking! ♥ Are the ghostfacers really gonna be back in the spring and see their 'little supernatural buddies'?!?! *SQUEEFLAILS*
My flist has exploded with excitement over whenboymeetsboy and j2_everafter!! I am SO freaking excited to read those fics- YAAAY WRITERS!!! I would LOVE to write Crack J2!Fic based on CAMP ROCK. *GIGGLESNORT* Idk if I have time to do it... AND I would love to write J2 Fic on ABOUT A BOY. I just got to watch that movie the other day because it was randomly on T.V.
Okay so ngl, I only wanted to watch b/c it's been mentioned a bunch of times that it's Kevin's favorite. I always feel like your favorite movie/book/song tells a lot about you since I consider those things really personal. I took a random poll asked my family and they hadn't really thought of those questions nor did they really care. ;P BUT ANYWAY, I still think it is books/movies/songs that are like glimpses showing who we really are because the things we identify with the most are the things we already hold to be truths. Like Orwell said, the best books are those that tell you what you already know and I think that is the same with all media.
'About a Boy' was gorgeous and heartfelt and I cried a couple times. The whole message, how no one is meant to be an island, is right up Kevin's alley. Not to mention Hugh Grant and the awesome and witty Brits in the movie. :D The contrast between Will and Marcus' mom that illustrated what happens when you try to create happiness all on your own and then the ending... it was such a life philosophy and I felt like I probably was thinking exactly what Kevin was thinking by the end. I won't spoil the ending, in case you haven't seen it, though. ;P Basically, you can't do it all on your own. And the love story part where Will just wanted to *be* with her, if he got to touch Rachel that would just be a plus, and that's when he realized he loved her- *SIGH* Ah, Kev.
Thanks to those of you who did the honesty meme! Y'all gave me the warm fuzzies AND gave me some things to work on in '09. I got some good New Year's Resolutions this year.
