Absinthe review
Fall under the spell of our Green Fairy! An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, light mints, cardamom, anise, hyssop, and the barest hint of lemon.
In the bottle: Woo, anise.
Wet on skin: This is a complex layered blend. I definitely smell the anise and the mint, a touch of citrus from the lemon (lovely) and I think cardamom? I have no idea what wormwood smells like.
Dry on skin: Soapy already, damn it. Maybe it will stay true in a scent locket. Lemon-fresh dish soap. Anise comes back after a little bit.
After a few hours: A delicate spring-like floral comes out in the second hour. Must be the hyssop. After a reapplication it's a lovely scent, it stays complex with the anise, mint, and breath of lemon. I really like it!
This is a review from Sunday and I've been reviewing out of order all week as well as being backed up on reviews; since then I've worn Dragon's Milk; and Black Pearl (Monday), The Coiled Serpent (Tues), Beltane 2006 (Wed), The Unicorn (Thurs), and Namaste (Friday). Right now I have Queen of Clubs on and I've reaffirmed this as one of my Holy Grail scents - not only do I love it, but
kuwamiko loves it on me. I sniff my wrist and smell different things every hour. Right now it's vanilla laced with pomegranate and the earthiness that screams "Queen of Clubs!"
CONFESSION: Some days I wear more than one BPAL scent! I shower after I work out at 6. Perfect time to change scents!
Unh, someone tell me why I should NOT buy Blue Moon and Tamamo-No-Mae! (My wallet?)
