Lab description: A crisp ozone-tinged breeze. The scent of the first gentle rain before the storm.
Snap review: This is the less-salty version of Lightning. BPAL ozone equals CKone as far as my nose is concerned! Nice, but not really "me."
Dana O'Shee
Lab description: In Irish folklore the Dana O'Shee are a fae, elven people that live in a realm of beauty, their nobility akin to our that own Age of Chivalry, eternally beautiful and eternally young. They surround themselves with the pleasures of the Arts, they live for the hunt, and to this day can be seen riding in procession through the Irish countryside at twilight, led by their King and Queen. However, the Dana O'Shee are not benevolent creatures, despite what their unearthly beauty may imply. They are vengeful and treacherous and possess a streak of mischievous malice, and many have whispered that their true home lies deep in the shadowed groves of the Realm of the Dead. Hearing even a single chord of their otherworldly music leaves one stunned and lost to the mortal realms for ever, finding themselves prey to the Dana O'Shee's hunt or enslaved in their Court as servants or playthings. Offerings of milk, honey and sweet grains were made to placate these creatures, and it is that the basis of the scent created in their name.
Snap review: In the bottle, vanilla extract. I LOVE vanilla extract. On my skin, vanilla latte. Not sure I ever smelled the honey, but this was a BEAUTIFUL milky light vanilla. I slathered this on. Delicious!
Frumious Bandersnatch
Lab description: "Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
Bandersnatch musk, redolent of spicy carnations, wild plums and chrysanthemum.
Snap review: Oh god! This is wonderful! I love the plummy smell that came out strongly on my skin, and mixed with the spicy carnations this was all kinds of holiday goodness. Gah, all of a sudden I'm hitting a lot of scents I want to bottle-buy and this is another one.
Miskatonic University
Lab description: A venerable New England university, whose vast library holds many rare, diabolical and obscure arcane works, including one of the few surviving legitimate copies of the Necronomicon. Home to innumerable scholars of the esoteric and the occult, and the notorious Dr. Herbert West.
The scent of Irish coffee, dusty tomes and polished oakwood halls.
Snap review: I absolutely love this scent, and my girlfriend does not like it. *sadface* To her it's too cloying. To me I love the Irish coffee and there's a breath of leather, the hint of dusty books and polished hallways. It's LOVELY. I would probably take this one to work with me and wear it all day. I wanted to SLATHER this one.
