BPAL: a few shorter reviews

XANTHE - Guava, orange peel, white pepper, spun sugar and apple blossom.
IN THE IMP: Pepper, light fruit, citrus
ON SKIN: Spicy, clean, fresh, a little musky. Not my usual thing - it has a bit of the edge of a commercial perfume, but only very faintly and briefly. Overall, really delicious, well-blended. Hard to describe it, but all of the elements just blend together very well. Almost unisex.

BESS - rosemary, orange flower, grape spirit, five rose variants, lemon peel, and mint.
IN THE VIAL: First a blast of Jolly Rancher-ish grape spirit, which dies down and is replaced by lovely, fresh rosemary and a touch of lemon.
ON SKIN: The only thing I really get is the grape spirit, which is, again, very much like grape candy. Damn.

CROQUET - Pink lime, pink grapefruit, white nectarine, wild rose, sage, woody patchouli, bergamot, and ornery hedgehog musk.
IN THE IMP: Spicy grass and loads of juicy citrus.
ON SKIN: Crisp, green, almost tropical - coconut definitely comes out on me in this, even though it's not listed.. A bit spicy, rather gender-neutral, despite all the cheerful fruits.

LIGHTNING - The electric tang of ozone, marine notes, and a drop of sharp rain.
IN THE IMP: Fresh water, summer seashore & succulent plants. Citrus, salty, clean.
ON SKIN: Cucumber and crisp, almost minty ozone. Delightful! Reminds me of Sturgeon Moon, but is less sweet-fruity, a little more masculine, in my opinion. It definitely has a darker feel to it as well, that really evokes a stormcloud, though I couldn't say what exactly gives that impression.
