Quick Good Judy reviews (Anime-Manga, In the Mood, Christmas 08)

My scent buddy and I had a huge sniffie party yesterday, so expect a flood of reviews! To start, here are 6 reviews from Good Judy, of varying lengths. (Mods, I had to add a few tags for this, so let me know if anything's wrong with them.)

BISHOUNEN - Cyperus, black tea, lilac, neroli, pheromones
IN THE VIAL: Super manly, at least as bishounen go. Clean, woody, astringent - I thought at first that cyperus was a typo for cypress, but apparently it’s a kind of reed, which makes sense, as it's not a dark woody-planty scent. So I’m guessing it’s that + the tea.
ON SKIN: Something has gone very smoky - as in, I’ll be darned if it’s not just a smoke note. Is that supposed to be the pheromones? Don’t get any neroli at all, nor lilac. Synaesthetically speaking, I’d call this charcoal black to brown. Clean, elegant, neutral-masculine.

GOSURORI - Earl Grey, sugared rose petals, vanilla cream
IN THE VIAL: Sweet, fresh pink or red rose, and clean, slightly lemony tea.
ON SKIN: As above - very light, cleanly sweet, delicate, and appropriately demure. Very low throw, especially for a red rose blend, and even after I applied twice. Normally I don’t like red rose, but this is very pretty and suited to the description. Though I imagine more a girl in a Victorian-inspired grey dress, rather than a full Gosurori, as this is pretty restrained and elegant, at the same time it’s youthful.

UKE - Vanilla musk, cotton candy, cherry, cream
IN THE VIAL: Maraschino cherry.
ON SKIN: Softer, pretty lovely cherry and vanilla-musky cream, but dies in a few seconds.

ELATE - Chocolate, lavender, sweet myrtle
IN THE VIAL: Lavender and chocolate ice cream, that don’t quite blend together. The chocolate is too sweet and dessert-y to suit the lavender.
ON SKIN: Pretty much pure, light lavender, with weak throw. It is a very pretty lavender though, light and not too harsh/astringent. Maybe a vanishing hint of chocolate, but not too much.
LATER: The lavender dies very quickly, leaving just a little herbal touch.

CHRISTMAS COMA (Christmas 2008) - no notes
IN THE VIAL: Chocolate, strong walnut (brownies, mmm), maybe a touch of booze and/or caramel.
ON SKIN. The walnut note is so true to life! I’m impressed. Unfortunately, walnut is pretty much the only note for me on skin.

WANNA LICK? FROSTED CUPCAKE - Moist, buttery cupcake, vanilla slush, shivery mint
IN THE VIAL: As in the description! The mint is very chilly and fresh, so that it reminds me of the little slivers of ice that you find in slushies. It’s a very edible spearmint, rather than an herbal mint.
ON SKIN: Mostly sweet, fresh mint, only a touch of the cupcake, so that it’s a light vanilla-mint, or even white chocolate mint.
LATER: Loses the sweetness, so it goes down to herbal spearmint, and then as usual the vanilla goes to plastic on me.
