Possets: The Girls Love Limeys
THE GIRLS LOVE LIMEYS - A really and truly beautiful pairing of honey and lime and secret ingredients, just like bees make. It is a real beauty again. Tart and sweet at the same time, a tiny bit spicy and full of life.
IN THE VIAL: Thick, golden, but not overly heavy honey, followed by a sting of sharp lime that’s so green it’s rather celeryish. Errr?
ON SKIN: Tart lime candy, with that same strange celeryish sting to it. After a few moments the warm honey note comes out again, with I think some lavender and other summery herbs. (but I could just be conflating the citrus + sweetness) Up close the lime is pretty overwhelming, but the throw is very balanced and pretty, with the citrus and warmer notes playing well together.
LATER: Makes me think a bit of a lightly sticky honey sweet, and the citrus is actually veering more towards grapefruit for me. The honey note reminds me very strongly of the honey musk in Lady Una, so I’m guessing there’s also musk.
SUMMARY: Summery citrus and golden honey musk; strong throw. Cute and cheerful, though not terribly girly. It’s a little strong for my tastes so I probably won’t keep it.
