MIDNIGHT - An ethereal bouquet of night-blooming flowers. Evening primrose, ruellia, flowering nicotiana, wild petunia, panani-o-kai, night phlox, night gladiolus, moonflower and the elusive scent of Nottingham Catchfly.
IN THE IMP: Light, crisp, greenish evening florals, almost herbal. I can detect my moonflower, but can’t identify any of the other notes. *fail* (In my defense, how many people in the world DO know what Nottingham Catchfly smells like?)
ON SKIN: Florals are very crisp rather than being sweet or heady. More herbal, almost spicy, with a hint of soapiness. The spicy-soapy combination makes it rather like a very light cologne.
LATER: A floral has emerged that I’m not so keen on, as it adds to the cologne-like feel, making it slightly sour/astringent. Still very light (by which I mean not heady), but also darker, which is not to my preference.
SUMMARY: A cool, crisp, dark evening floral. Very low throw, even with pretty generous application.
