That is utterly haunting and wonderfully written. The scenes are heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. No one ever seems to capture Elena contemplating her breaking point, the way that you did with this. Amazing job!

I do think Elena is an incredibly strong and resolute character, and so I find the notion of her reaching her end point an interesting study. I'm glad to hear I did that aspect of the story justice.

This is gorgeous- beautifully written. I think you just singlehandedly convinced me to love this ship and to furthermore become infatuated with elijah/elena. I love his character so, so much and I just hope that we're going to have him around for a while.

That was utterly wonderful! Thank you so much for writing this for me. I've spent the week lying in bed struggling with a nasty cold and this totally brightened up my day! I love everything about it: the way you captured the character voices (Klaus, in particular, seems spot on), how Elena is falling to pieces, the bond between her and Elijah, and how messed up and wrong and disturbingly hot it all it. Guh! Definitely worth the wait! ♥♥♥

Sadly, the revelations in 2x19 regarding the curse rendered my original plot idea for this moot. I really wanted something fun and crazy a la Eyes Wide Shut but I just couldn't reconcile it with what was happening on the show. Alas.

Klaus is SO much fun to write. He's truly reaching all new levels of evil and psychotic with every episode he's in; it's awesome. Cannot wait for season 3.

I know exactly what you mean! I had quite a few plot bunnies that I wanted to write - and a part of me still does, but it's hard to reconsile them with the canon events. *pokes canon*

Although this isn't my usual cup of tea (Stefan/Elena seem to be it for me in terms of Elena) I really did enjoy this. It is very beautifully written - I really liked the progression and the role Elijah played in the story. Thank you for sharing!
