"Do you need some help finding something? That's the Yurika always had when she wanted me to get her something."

[ Nadeko sort of nearly jumps up at the sudden voice, but calms down (a little, since she'll be nervous in social situations forever) when she notices it's at least someone she knows. ]

A-ah, Hoshino-san, good afternoon.. [ She pauses for a slight moment, her gaze sliding back to the products on display. ] H-hmm, no, I'll be fine.. I was just thinking for a bit, I guess.

"Oh. All right, just sometimes shopping is more fun with people. I got sent on an errand for work."

[She nods a little bit]

An errand for work..? [ She tilts her head just a little bit sideways, thinking about it. ]

Did you have to go get something here?

[She nods]

"A few small things. I'm doing the wash today and the costumes need specific cleaners."

[She nods and smiles slightly]

"I can finish it in 2 minutes, I was curious if you needed help finding things for your errand."

[ She tugs on the side of her hat a little now, a bit awkwardly. ]

I'll be fine.. O-oh! Um, one thing you can help me with.. What sort of cookies do you think most people like, Hoshino-san?

"Hrm... I don't eat a lot of sweets but I like snicker-doodles. Yurika liked chocolate cookies."

[She ponders a bit more, her hair sweeping about a bit as if there was a stiff breeze in the store that there isn't]

... Oh, who's Yurika, if it's okay for me to ask? One of your friends..?

"She was the first person who adopted me at home. Part of me likes to think of her as my mother since I don't really know my real mother well."

Adopted you? Ah, it's very kind of her to have done such a thing.. Did you get along with her well?

"I did. The year we lived together was possibly the happiest year of my life."

[ She smiles a little. ]

I'm glad to hear that.. It's very nice to have people in your life who can make you that happy, right? I love Mama and Papa, but the people I've met here too have all been so nice to me..
