Eddie Guerrero rest in peace.

Eddie was a hell of a performer. Yes he might have played up the Hispanic stereotypes but he was fun to watch. Watching him break down after winning the title at one of the main events of Wrestlemania was emotional. Watching the show that the WWE put together about him and his family dealing with his battle with drugs and alcohol was even more emotional.

Tonight and Friday night, the WWE are going to have tribute shows on RAW and Smackdown. No storylines will be advanced, no wrestler will be required to wrestle. There will be various video tributes and comments by other wrestlers.

He was found by Chavo Guerrero in his hotel room on Sunday morning. Eddie evidently had some sort of heart failure while brushing his teeth. The police do not suspect foul play at all. I just hope that the toxology report doesn't say that it was caused by steroids. The media will jump all over that and totally blow past the better story of how Eddie beat his addiction to drugs and alcohol. He had been clean for four years now.

Rest in peace Eddie. The ring is a sadder place without you in it.
