Sunday and still knitting

I've spent most of my Sunday knitting and watching television.  Not massively exciting news, I'm afraid - LOL! - but I've certainly enjoyed myself.  It's a lovely overcast day and I thought for a little while that it might rain a little, but so far it's been a lovely coolish breeze, dark clouds, and no rain.

My boss got me an Umberto Eco novel, The Name of the Rose, for my birthday.  That was cool of him!  It's now nestled nicely in my stack of Summer books.

I am forcing myself to begin exercising tomorrow.  At the gym.  That sort of exercising.  *sigh*  I really think I'm doing well on the diet portion of my fitness plan, and I've been doing weight-related exercises, with hand weights and a Body By Jake Hip and Thigh machine.  But now I really need to add some cardio to the whole thing.  I'm just tired of looking in the mirror and not liking what I see.  Or avoiding the mirror..  I really need to focus on my abs as well, so that's item #2.  I'm lucky because I don't have to be at work until 9am, so I can get to the gym at 6:30 or 7:00am and work out for an hour, and then go straight into work from there.  It's all pretty close together.  There is also a gym at work, apparently.  The girls go a lot for lunch, but I've never been.  I kind of don't like getting all hot and sweaty mid-day, and then having to go back to work, so I will stick with my own gym before work, I suppose.

Well, I've got to change the sheets and do some other odd cleaning around the place.  I really should mop, but I think that'll have to wait until next weekend, as I have to pull everything out in to the hallway, sweep things down completely and then mop.  As I live in a small studio I live, eat, and sleep all in the same area.  The room is about 10 feet by 20, so whenever I sweep and mop I really want to do the whole room, so I've got to pull everything out.

*sigh*  Meh.

Ok then, I'm off.  Take care and have a lovely evening, everyone!

working out, birthday gift, mopping, knitting
