german class actually didn't suck today, for a change. I was on the ball! "on the ball" is a strange phrase....
speaking of phrases, I learned a new german phrase today in class -- something like "dass ist ein heisse Eyssen", which literally means "that is a hot iron", but really means "that is a hot/controversial topic!".
Its strange how different languages have different phrases like that ... like our strange phrases don't translate -- or do they??
im worried about my safety in Berlin -- I best not be stupid (like I sometimes ... am). I'm really anticipating not being dumb. Really anticipating.
its strange because im sitting in the library, and Lauren (from the VI) just walked by and another girl that went to the VI with us is sitting across from me in a booth.
What I'm trying to draw your attention to is the simplistic idea that people can go through crazy amazing adventures together, and merely return to simplistic boring university life. Isn't life kinda crazy like that?
I sat next to a matrix man on the bus today. Matrix man meaning, a guy I actually know, who showed me his *crazy* black ipod nano, and was wearing a black jacket and black glasses. I told him his futuristic look reminded me of the matrix.
