fandom-craziesandom rears it's ugly head
I've just heard about Danneel and Jensen expecting, and inevitably the shit-storm that's followed. I don't knwo what it is about this fandom or it's fans but whenever Jared and Jensen do anything in their personal lives when it involves women - wow, all hell breaks loose.
How embaressingly predictable. I do sometimes wonder why Jensen or Jared ever share anything knowing a few will react so badly and so loudly. Very humilating for the real fans...
The same thing happened when Geneiereve was pregnant - wailing, insults, death threats, hoping she miscarried etc etc. I thought peopel might be better when Danneel's time came, since people seemed to have less issues with her. I suppose I was being optimistic. I don't know whether these people are simply trolls and out for sick attension, whether they have some personal vendetta against the women, whether they thing Jared/Jensen is THEIR true love or want them in love. I dunno. I don't know the ins and outs of Jared and Jensen's minds, choices...none of us do. The boys married these women and are having children with them, now whether that is to cover their epic gayness for each other, I don't know. We KNOW their are beards and fake relationships in Hollywood/TV land but frankly I don't care. It's their lives, their choices and we should have the decency to respect that.
Neither of these women have done anything personal to their attackers so why all the hysterics? I know nothing about either Generieve nor Danneel, I'm not fans of them but I don't dislike them or wish them ill, why would I? It's reasons like this I stay far, faaaaar away from Jensen and Jared's personal lives. I'm happy in my own little fandom bubble where Jared and Jensen can be happily in love. I sincerely hope they are happy in RL. They look happy.
People have so many things to worry about, to get mad about - but they ignore the things that they SHOULD be mad about and focus attension on people they don't know and are never gonna meet. It's all rather pathetic and makes me so releaved I only find out fandom news usually two weeks after it's happened. All this drama isn't healthy for people, but judging from some of the comments made over first Generieve now Danneel's pregnancy, I doubt some of these people are right in the head anyway.
Bottom line - leave the bitching alone, leave the wives alone, leave Jensen and Jared alone and focus on making your own life less miserable than it must be to rant and insult like this in the first place.
