Ok so once again another fun filled update! hehehe!
On the day after July 4th (that would be the 5th, hehehe). I went over to Justin and Zack's dad's house for another fireworks show. This time they didn't try to blow themselves up. I first met Steve, Davey, & Jacob at the church then we drove over to Art's (J & Z's dad). We just hung out for a bit then we ate, the majority of the people there were from Northview (a lot from the basketball team Zack played on), so I didn't really know a lot of people besides the people from our church. I knew who the others were, but didn't really know them, per-say (hehehe, just had to say that word). After eating I played Euchre with Davey, Steve, and Jacob. My team lost twice, I was so sad. Then we went outside for fireworks. They were ok, nothing really special, then they started shooting bottle rockets at each other, and I tried to stay out of the way but people were following me (not purposely, I don't think, hmmm). Then Zack tripped over me when I decided to sit on the ground (how rude! Actually he didn't see me, so he says!) Shortly after that I left, but not before I found Steve's sunglasses he left. I am now holding them hostage, actually I'm not he just hasn't gotten them back yet, I tried to give them to him yesterday, but I think he was too preoccupied with the box and he told me to hold on to them (I will explain the box later).
ok breath........
Wednesday~church. We had an ice cream social after church for Greece fund raiser. The ice cream was good!! hehehe!
Thursday~6:00 softball game (I watched, didn't play), our team won like 21 to 7 or something like that! Followed up by fun times with Volleyball. I did however miss the Disciple concert, I was a little upset about that, but I was really wanting to play volleyball.
Friday~went to see Fantastic Four, it was ok. Then it was off to IHOP!
Saturday~ The day of all days, hehehe! First, I woke up at an absurd time to go with my dad to the walk against drugs (not sure of the technical name). We got there really early, but then others started showing up and it was good times! P.B. and Jon were talking to each other on walkie talkies and April and I went to talk to Detective Haley. "It was a bad day for Meth!" ~ P.B. On the walk Zack tried to make Pastor Ben a sign that said that wonderful quote, but it turned out looking like this: It A BADAY FOR(B) Meth. Not sure about the B Pastor Ben said something about the R looking like a B. Not sure. After our short walk was over we stood, it the HEAT another hour or so for a "program". There were some pretty good speeches, but I was really gross (totally soaked with sweat!). Then come to find I was on the news, and I missed it.
I then went home and helped my mom prep foods for our family reunion. I peeled egg shells, and cut hard boiled eggs. I was cracking up the whole time! hehehe! No, pun intended, until I realized I cracked a joke! hehehe! I am not fire tonight! I really love spending time with my mom!
Then I met P.B., Steve, Jon, Jon, and Chris to go to Jordan's (who was still at work at the time) to set up fireworks. Before going to Jordan's we stopped at Dollar General so the guys could get lighter fluid (this already sounds bad doesn't it?) and a box (this is where the box comes in from above!). They were making MOAB (3). Some people will probably be really confused right about now, hehehe! They actually didn't make MOAB until Matt, April, Chad, and Davey got there, then they assembled it, everything else was prep, like watering the ground (that is all I am saying) and filling buckets with water (you know safety precautions). We were semi-competing with the neighbors earlier in the evening when they were setting off big fireworks, we (I should say they, I don't light fireworks, I am not a friend of fire) lit our small stuff, it was great. I mean we (again I should say they) had to save the big stuff. Later we find out the neighbors are drunk, always good, when you are lighting explosives, they actually tipped one, and it shot at their house, it was crazy, it looked like the Keyes' saga all over again! April and I spent time talking to each other and looking at the stars (particularly that pesky small dipper!). It was a really good time, I don't get to really hang out with April much, & it was really nice! I also found out we share the same fear of fire. Then Jordan got home from work, as far as I know he had no clue what the guys had in mind. He was filled in about the plans and about the accidental fire from the GREEN smoke thing (real technical I know!)Then we waited for Robert to come, then it was time for MOAB. It was great!! I was impressed, wasn't just a big ball of flame like I expected it to be. When Matt, P.B., Steve, and Davey were cleaning up the remains of the MOAB Chad and Chris decided to light a left-out firework. It ended up shooting out of the bottom and burning a whole in the yard (we found out later that it was broken, that is why it was left). I can not express how much fun I had. I had always kind of wondered what it would be like hanging out with all of the guys and watching them do there silly guy stuff, and God let me see what it was like. I hope I get to hang do that again (although having April there, as another girl support was definitely a good thing, no awkwardness!) I am not sure if April will post anything on her live journal about this or not, but if so read hers, it will be a more poetic version of our night, she is so creative!
Sunday ~ Today was the start of our Camp Meeting at our church! It is going on all week, if anyone is interested (10th-15th). I was so excited, our church has been waiting for this for quite a while. Rev. Randy, started us off today and all of the services were great! I went to the 9:00, there was a word for me in the message (it was about Joy). He also brought up our attitude in things, which was confirmation and at the same time, something God was dealing with me about. Then I went home to finish the Oneighty display for our ministry fair we are also having this week (in the chapel). While I finished that I listened to the 2nd service, it was good too, of course, wasn't as focused so can't recall a lot. Then I went to a family reunion. It always surprises me how crazy my family is! I love them all with all my heart, but oh my! hehehe! Then it was back to church to set up the table for the ministry fair, I think it look quite nice, and I was proud of all that I was able to help do. Then we had another amazing service! Rev. Randy is an awesome preacher, and he is hilarious! God blessed me in many ways tonight! Of course, he is also challenging me with stuff, but it is good!
Well, I think that is the end for now. Greece trip is coming soon! I am excited, yet nervous, yet not looking forward to packing.
