I stole this entry from AJ who actually wrote it. because i feel this way too sometimes but ive just never been able to explain it and AJ worded it perfectly. (And AJ, if you dont want me stealing your entries then dont write good things)
Alas, The Saddest Beautiful Entry You Will Ever Meet
As good as things are going, sometimes you just have moments where you feel sad for no reason and every reason all at once. This entry will be example of one of those moments. This is going to be depressing, so if you don't want to read it then you don't have to. In fact if you'd rather go jump rope or play hopskotch or something, now's the time to do it while you still have happy sunshiney rainbows and rabbits frolicking in the meadows of your mind.
So if you did not heed my warning, you're in for a real bummer. Not because I have antyhing worth saying that's sad, but that's what's depressing: I'm just gonna be writing some depressing pointless stuff that's not worth reading. It's gonna depress you at the end to realize you didn't gain anything out of reading this. Except maybe sadness. Which will make you more sad knowing you just got more sad. I think that last thought was evidence my brain is dying.
So the saddest song I think in the world is "End Of The Innocence" by I think Don Henley and Bruce Hornsby. The title is very sad and the song sounds sad, and from what I remember of the lyrics, those are pretty sad too. All around Sad. Basically it gets me thinking that everything that was good at one point will one day lose it's innocence and will no longer be. All good things will some day end, and I don't know if there is any one thought more depressing than that.
Which gets you to thinking about old good things you miss. The innocence of youth: when life was good, school was fun, naps were a waste of time, and arguments with friends lasted minutes at the most. You could get away with nothing and feel like you robbed the world blind. Imagination was your playmate and you had few cares in the world. The good old days. Old memories: Homes and towns you used to live in, forgotten streets, trees you used to climb, and roads to your favorite lunch spot or best friend's house. The board in the fence you could move to slip out to the street without anyone knowing, the spot where you buried a hamster that was your best friend, a stuffed animal that meant the world to you. All these things are gone except what is left in your memory. I don't want to forget all that stuff, I grew up on that stuff. Old friends: This is the worst, forgetting all the good times you shared with your best buddies growing up. Whether one of you moved away, you had a stupid argument over nothing, or you just drifted apart one day, we seem to forget about all the good times you had together. And when you do remember, you regret losing touch and wish you could make a phone call to hang out with them and apologize and say "hey, I'll meet you half way there" just like you used to do. Old loves: The girl/guy you would have taken a bullet for, that you used to live breathe eat and think about. Well maybe not eat, don't know where that came from. But I guess it's one of those basic natural surivival instincts so it kinda fits. Most people just remember the end of the relationships and how bad it was and you regret ever starting it, and wonder what you liked about the person in the first place. Well maybe that's better so it's easier to move on. But it's nicer to think back to little incidents, remembering the person you really truly loved. Little adventures you had together, quiet walks together, and the stupid little projects you would start spontaneously for no reason but because it was gonna be fun to do it together. Then it's depressing thinking the other person probably doesn't remember or care, and you just wish things were easy breezy in love.
People move, people fight, people leave your life. People laugh, people cry, people sometimes die. People love and people click, but they eventually forget. People evolve whether or not it all makes sense, and in the end we all just lose our innocence.
I guess this is for all of those I care/d about that I wish I could make things be like they used to. I know you have someone in mind like this, and if you do and it's not too late, try to get back in contact with them, catch up, and see if you can't rekindle the innocence. This world moves too fast, and we forget what's really important. You only live once so why not enjoy it with the people you loved. Well I really should fall asleep now.
We've delved too much into the soft side of A.J. I've got a rep to keep up....America FUCK YEAH!! Comin again to save the mother fuckin day yeah!
thats the end.
i Hope you had the time of your life.
