It has come to my attention that my EP, On Someone, is now available to buy via iTunesThis is of course quite cool - though I'll make far less money per sale than I do from selling the CD direct, it gives me the opportunity to get the music out there more widely than before. It's higher quality encoding, no DRM, and no restrictions on use. It's also 99p per track instead of 79p per track, and only available with iTunes 7.2. Info here.

It's encryption free and twice the bitrate. Songs cost €1.29 as opposed to 99c for standard tracks (dunno what the UK store charges). I don't know if non-label artists can sign up for it, but I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed to.

I infiltrated iTunes via TuneCore. They didn't offer me the option, I don't think, but that may or may not be to do with their service rather than Apple's.
