Life is good
My Verdi professor is the best, it's now official. I went in for office hours, and we talked about my term paper, etc. She was quite shocked to find out that I am a freshman, which I took to be a good sign. She was also super helpful, and didn't chastise me for starting my term paper a week before it was due (she changed the date earlier, so I really have a little over three weeks.)It's funny, but once I become attached to a professor, I look them up on google, just to see what they have written, where they have taught, etc. It seems to me that Columbia has some really fantastic music professors. Professor Henson has several degrees from Oxford, and taught at Cambridge. I think I am in good hands.
