i just finished the longest paper of my life - 14 pages on moral development including a one page bibliography. i keep hearing that panic at the disco! song on the radio and it's great - so diverse. they blend rock, acoustic, electronic and a tease of hard rock all in one song! brilliant . . . i wonder if their other songs are that amazing.
so now it's officially summer for me! school's out for summer. . . school's not out forever.
i'll be continuing school in missouri in the fall. did i mention they have a brand new state of the art fitness center that has an indoor/outdoor pool (read: year round swimming) and a hot tub (read: warm and bubbly)! i'm really excited to move out there and find a place with scott. i'm so excited about our life together. i can't believe i'm so lucky to have found my soulmate so early in life. i don't know how he does it - loving me right is natural to him - and being best friends is what we're best at. that and creating the perfect cup of coffee.
to speak freely i'm also kind of mourning, in a way. grief over my previous 'idea of the future' 's death. and the soon to be long distance that will be between me and my friends. then again, since last year we've all kind of scattered a bit. we all need to get our shit together, any way. it can be a hard lesson, this life thing, but a good one that leaves you feeling rugged and happy like a long day at the beach, skin tight with salt and sand and sun, exhausted but rejuvenated.
this semester was the first time i tried. i really applied myself, made school a priority, went to classes, turned things in on time, gave 110% effort on my assignments and tests. i can't wait to see my grades. now i understand those kids in school who got upset if they got a B instead of an A. if you're putting forth so much time and effort you definitely want to see the fruit of your labor.
i'm really crazy about the minus story. they were incredible live, much more amazing than john vanderslice, though he was pretty clever with the crowd. somehow i felt brett's presence when watching the minus story. well, when i was watching. half the show was so amazing i had to close my eyes - it was so much. their harmony soars.
