Ah, a bit of poetry for you all. I wrote this awhile back, but it is still one of my favorites. And I'd have to say the best poem I've ever written.

Be honest with yourself
The love running so delicately over your skin
Is simply a little white lie
An untruth that penetrates your soul in icy pinpricks
Those warm fingers caressing your cheek
Are only telling you want you want to hear
I love you...

But I don't love you
I've only mastered the control pad of your emotions
Broken down your secret encryptions
And permeated through your senses

Before long I will destroy you
In some vast civil war
But I know all your weak spots
The places where your soldiers rest
Where they play

And there I shall strike you
Conquer your fertile lands and enslave you
Leaving you barren and loveless
Crying acid rain

All because of my sick, twisted needs

Yes. It still rouses in me the feelings I had when I created it.

And on a happy note, I finally managed to finish a piece of writing! It's been so long since I've finished something longer than a 700 word one-shot. Mmm.
