As you may have noticed, I have not been online all weekend. It's not because I was away, and it's not because I was busy. It's because I am fed up with the way some people are treating me, and I didn't want to deal with it for the weekend. After some deep thinking on my downtime, I realized that I was getting awful sick of this whole LJ/AIM experience. Every time I signed on, plugged in an entry, or looked at my friends page, I would get really upset for one reason or another. I don't want to get rid of the use of LJ and AIM, because it seems to be the best method of contact between friends. But you know, I figure if you really want to do something with me, you won't give a second thought to dialing my number, or shooting me over an email.
At least, that's what I'd like to think. I'm getting sick of trying to make plans with people and then never going through with them. Sorry if I'm being too forward with this, but I'm just trying to lay down my thoughts for you. I don't think you understand how frustrating it is for me. It's a two-way street. Not a one-way.
So, there are a few things I may need to polish up as far as AIM goes. I might be on and off during the week, because there are a few people I need to talk to. But I will no longer be making use of this LJ, because I'm sick of letting it define who I am to readers. Because who you see, or what you think of me, by looking at your computer screen, isn't me. And I don't want to be judged by the words that come out of my fingers, because they lack the type of expression you will see if you're looking at me face-to-face.
Admittedly, I'll probably miss this. It keeps me in touch with people's lives and allows me to express myself. So I guess if I decide to use it for anything, it will be to check in on friends and see how they are doing.
I'll still be on AIM every so often I suppose. There are a few people that live too far away to call, and would possibly prefer something a little more interactive than email.
So here it stands. My email is hs_jessica@yahoo.com and if you want my phone number, either catch me online sometime this week, or drop me an email.
That's all. Thankyou very much for listening.
