[[He laughs sheepishly. He can't remember properly.]]

[[He turns around to go inside, but he looks back over his shoulder with a reassuring smile.]]

Why don't you come in?

Ah, thank you! [Her eyes brighten a little, and she bows before cautiously coming inside, a little disoriented by all the Weird Modern Stuff.]

[[Allan's already heading to the kitchen. He's just as disoriented by all the weird stuff, but because it's so old to him.]]

You got kidnapped too, didn't you?

[[Now he's begun digging through the fridge to find something tasty to eat. After a moment, he pulls out a chunk of ham on a plate.]]

Oh, and. Um. If you don't like this, I can get you something else.

[Not having eaten much of anything in the last couple days, Mokou is tearing into the ham before Allan finishes his sentence. After a few ravenous bites, she realizes that she's being kind of not even slightly like the noble she was raised to be, and stops awkwardly.]

Forgive me, I just haven't eaten in a while.

Haha! Don't worry, I'd be doing the same if I were as hungry as you. There's more food if you're still hungry after you eat that. But be careful, you'll get a stomach-ache.

[[With that, he continues looking for more food. Preferably something nourishing. Moments later, he pulls out a small pot of day-old stew.]]

[Mokou resumes eating quietly, a little embarassed both at her display and at getting laughted at. After several seconds of silence, she looks up at Allan.]

What kind of place is this? I've never seen anything like it.

[[Allan's turned the stove on and is currently heating up some stew.]]

This place? I'm... not quite sure. I think this is in America. During the... I think either the 1960's or 1950's? I don't know why everyone's been brought here. I'm just as confused as you are, Mokou.

By the way, how's the food?

What do you mean by 1950? Is that some kind way of saying time?

Yeah. 1950 was one-thousand, nine-hundred-fifty years after the supposed birth of Christ, a religious figurehead in the Christian religion. Anything before that is known as BC, before Christ, but the more appropriate term, which I use, is BCE, which is Before Common Era.

Really far in the past, though. I think the time period you'd be living in is called 'Feudal Japan.' I might be wrong, though. Does that name ring any bells?
