The Pooka are immortal. Should we manage to perish, our souls wander the Netherworld as spectres for eternity. I am only recently become a Pooka myself, but it will take some time to break this curse, and I... I am beginning to think I have a very long life ahead of me.

By the end of the third century of my new life, I was so disconnected from the mortal world that I felt like I could die of isolation. It didn't matter whether I kept eating and sleeping and living, or if I just laid down and did nothing.

I would have lost all hope and purpose in life, had I not found another immortal.
