Title: Planning Revenge Author: immortal_jedi aka jedipati Fandom: Pirates of the Caribbean Rating: PG Prompt: 63) There are glances of hatred that stab, and raise no cry of murder. -- George Eliot (1819-1880), English novelist

Calypso learned some patience during her time being bound to Tia Dalma's form. And trial and error taught her much. But, in all that time, she never forgot who did it to her, and what she intended to do to the heirs of the Brethren Court once she was free.
I like the idea that she was putting on a front the whole time, especially in her hut after Jack's death. All that tea and sympathy, right before jumping in at the opportune moment to steer them all towards getting Jack back and convening the Court.
It was a good thing that Will figured out that Davy Jones betrayed her and told her. In the end, it would seem that the bigger betrayal steered Calypso away from her revenge on those hapless heirs.
Calypso was hard to write, but worth it. From her characterization, I thought that she was very vengeful, and determined to get free again. The way she pounced on Will's "if there was anything we could do" statement told me that she was just waiting for an opening.
