Kingdom Hearts II : spoiler-free log.

Utada Hikaru's Sanctuary may sound choppy in comparison to Passion, but I have a hard time disliking it. It's still her unbelievable voice coupled with lyrics that are actually kind of heartbreaking. The alternate version is not really an issue for me.

I adore the little additions graphic-wise, such as screen transitions and menu animations. Kudos to the eye-candy department, Square-Enix.

I very, very, very much miss my trusty R2/L2 camera angle adjustments. I know they fixed the viewing problems, but for the first hour I couldn't remember to use my joystick when out-maneuvering possible Flame Suppositories.

Axel's VA did surprisingly well. Just the right mixture of nutty tinged with longing and regret. Axel really is like three year old chocolate- you know there's going to be a funky aftertaste, but you eat the Hell out of it anyway because it's chocolate, damn it.

All the money in the free world, and they couldn't find anyone else for Aerith? Way to stick it to one of my favorite characters, Disney. My finger actually twitched for the mute button, and my brain didn't think it was a completely unkind idea.

life: humor, game: kingdom hearts, life: personal, game: final fantasy
